Development proceeds on EDAW-designed Palestinian eco-town

“EDAW and Faber Maunsell are collaborating to plan and design Rawabi, the first new town to be constructed in the West Bank region. The town will accomadate 30,000 people, providing social infrastructure such as schools and libraries, and following a sustainable framework.”

RTKL-Designed Dubai Mirdif Center on Target for 2009 Opening – Contract Magazine

“RTKL, the international architecture, planning and design firm, reports that Mirdif City Center, located on Dubai’s Eastern growth corridor, is on track for a late-2009 opening and
is expected to be the region’s first eco-friendly retail center.”

Glasgow superhotel receives planning permission – Scottish Architecture

Scottish Architecture reports

“Aedas, has received planning consent for its masterplan, architectural and landscape design for Bothwell Plaza, in Bothwell Street Glasgow.

The completed scheme is set to be be the tallest commercial building in Glasgow. The 60,000 square metre, 18-storey development will comprise a mixed-use scheme including office, retail and leisure space and a five-star, 320-bed hotel.”
