BDP has been commissioned for the relocation of a prestigious primary and secondary school in Jumeirah, Dubai. The relocation of Jumeirah College to Al Khail Road will provide additional facilities for 2,300 students. The new building has already started on site and will be a showcase school for the charitable organisation GEMS Education.

Al Maryah Island | Abu Dhabi UAE | Broadway Malyan

The concept masterplan for Al Maryah Island (formerly Sowwah Island) recently renamed by the Abu Dhabi Municipality, in recognition of its economic and historical importance and geographic location, has been approved.The Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC) has approved the plan, which covers over 3.5 million sqm of mixed-use development across commercial, residential, retail, hospitality and community uses, and will become the center of Abu Dhabi’s New Central Business District (CBD).

Zeytouneh Square is one of four squares in a sequence of connected urban spaces along the Shoreline Walk, which forms an important part of the reconstruction of the Beirut city centre. The area suffered extensive physical and emotional damage during civil war between 1975 and 1991.

Recently, Robert Hewitt, ASLA, is a Professor of Landscape Architecture at Clemson University who has recently co-authored “Finding Multi-Centers: Using crowd-sourcing technologies to define communities of landscape architecture” (1) and World Landscape Architecture has been included in the study that shows landscape architects, architects, planners “share degrees of common topical interests related to competitions, projects, and research topics.”
