Back in November, a shortlist was announced for Russia Park and now the competition is complete with Cushman & Wakefield announced as the winners of competition to design the concept and financial model of “Russia” Theme Park.
The Jury and the Expert Council meeting of the International Contest for the concept and financial model of “Russia” Theme Park devoted to selection of the winner and other finalists was held on the 20th of December.

With a projected growth rate of 10,000 new residents, Luleås vision is to create new attractive residential areas and densify their urban core. In collaboration with Luleås City Planning Department, Temagruppens urban planners have developed an Urban Vision Document which capitalizes on the City’s proximity to surrounding water, and focuses on long term sustainability.

The parking field with tetrahedrons that evoke memories of anti-tank barricades. Parklaan under the instruction of Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie project office (New Dutch Waterline) and the Province of Utrecht creatively designed the main entrance of the New Dutch Waterline National Centre (and Limes). The most important challenge was to design a car park for 250 cars and a pedestrain access to Fort Vechten. The design was made in cooperation with the visual artist Paul de Kort.

A stone’s throw from the center of Amiens lye the Hortillonnages, a unique landscape world heritage site. Reclaimed from the ancient marshlands, this vast system of irrigated cultivation is made up from a network or canals surrounding cultivated islands. Born form the intervention of man, this remarkable landscape experienced a slow evolution over centuries before its gradual decline during the last decades. Faces with the extinction of the islands through the erosion of their banks, members of the local community have mobilized to save this area.

For a long time the historic canals in the urban landscape of Rotterdam were forgotten. Today water plays the prominent role, that once it had within the city and can be discovered by visitors once again. The transformation of Stadwater is in fact a reversion of the relationship between the city and its urban canals. Since medieval times the urban water was not orientated towards the water, resulting in back-sides of the buildings along the water and anonymous public realm along the water, such as parking spaces and delivery roads. The canal route was fragmented, all having their own name: Stokviswater, Haagse Veer, Delftse Vaart, Zijl, Steigersgracht, en de Leuvekolk.

Oskarshamn is a small harbor town on Sweden’s east coast with a population of 17,258 in 2010. It sits midway between the summer town of Västervik and the university and cultural city of Kalmar. Characterized by the port industries and businesses, the city relationship with the water has changed dramatically within the past 100 years as the natural bay, Döderhultsviken, has been transformed by the city’s harbor activities. After years of changes in the port industry , demands for larger areas and harbor depth has moved much of harbor industry out of the inner harbor and onto new quays further from the city center. With the goal of developing new visions for their inner harbor, Oskarshamn municipality invited 3 teams to develop proposals for city’s inner harbor.
