Work has started on site for a public realm scheme to improve the upper section of The Parade in Watford Town Centre. Designed by BDP the project responds to feedback from local residents and businesses who want to see the town centre become more attractive, helping to bring shoppers, families and businesses to the area.

The site is located at the shore of south eastern Cyprus, between the towns of Larnaca and Agia Napa and it measures 42 hectares. It is predominantly agricultural and aligned on either sides of a dry river bed that reaches the sea at a point where a natural fiord like bay is formed. The diverse geological surroundings and the ragged Mediterranean flora of the area form an undoubted unique landscape.

OMA has been commissioned to design a masterplan for a major new urban development south of Bordeaux (FR), based on the expansion of the local tram system. The project, led by OMA associate Clément Blanchet and commissioned by La Fabrique Métropolitaine de la Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux, aims to regenerate the neighborhoods of Bègles and Villenave d’Ornon, forging new connections to Bordeaux’s central station.

Additionally the site is occupied by a historic agricultural landscape marking the edge between city and open land and offers a panoramic view to the skyline of Paris.

The redevelopment of the Bernardine Monastery Complex is based on the need to cultivate the district’s contemporary identity and needs while engaging with the site’s unique heritage. The system of open spaces and streets that encompass the complex need to reveal the multiple layers of both historic and contemporary events while editing the numerous urban configurations that obstruct the flow/flux of urban life.
