The objective in this project was to create a unique space in the main entrance of the house and for that we found inspiration in the volcanic gardens, we chose magnolias, ferns, salvias and rosemary so we could make a multi-sensory space where you could touch, smell, see, eat, and hear the garden.

The City of Phoenix recently held an RFQ for Margaret T. Hance Park Master Plan Design. The city received 20 submittals and short-listed to four teams lead by Weddle Gilmore, Stoss, Gould Evans and West 8.
The City of Phoenix decided that the Weddle Gilmore team as the successful submitter. Their team includes: !melk, Floor Associates, HR&A, ETM Associates, City Activators Inc., Rider Levett Bucknall, Pentagram, Kimber Lanning, Public Workshop, David Evans Assoc, Buro Happold, IAS Labs, Artistic Arborist, and RAMM.
This is an award recommendation pending final approval.

How can rural dynamics be employed to adequately cope with the global challenges that we are currently facing and how can these challenges once again turn rural areas into a system that works? The Veenkoloniën (Groningen peat district) is a rural area in the North of the Netherlands that is facing a number of major economic, social and ecological challenges. As an agricultural area, the region is part of a global system. Consequently, its challenges are not caused by internal factors, but by the global food system and this system’s impact on the area, i.e. the social, economic and ecological environment that it creates.
