The project “Quinta das Virtudes” was developed at an early stage by the following landscape architects: Cláudio Folha, Filipe Silva and Tiago Ortega in the context of the subject of Cultural Landscapes Project in the fourth year of Landscape Architecture course in the Faculty of Science of University of Porto in 2011.

Remix Garden 3
London based garden design festival staged a three month long project in partnership with the RHS and coin Street Community Builders, titled The Remix Garden, running over the summer of 2013 in the iconic OXO Tower Wharf courtyard on the South Bank. The basic premise being that the Cloudy Bay Discovery Garden, designed by Andrew Wilson and Gavin McWilliam which appeared at Chelsea Flower Show, was handed over to four upcoming designers to remix, in the same manner that a song would be remixed by different producers.

The third and final stage(known as the Rail Yards) is currently under construction and the Friends of the High Line have told WLA via email that most of the High Line’s signature planking has been laid. The interim walkway (where the High Line curves north at the intersection of West 30th Street and 12th Avenue) is all in place. Planting will begin in spring and continue throughout the summer whilst also installing additional construction elements. No date has been set for the opening of the final stage but is expected to be open to the public in the Fall of 2014.
