The proposal is a mix-up of the character of the co-working space and artist studios with the qualities of the open space of the courtyard houses or “casa chorizo”; an historic typology of urban housing in Buenos Aires. The aim was to create a living space for social, utilitarian and productive exchange, where thinking, exchange ideas, share, plant, harvest and recycle can be the starting points to promote community living for artists and visitors.

With its landscapes designed by Gillespies, Port Sunlight River Park has been created on the former Bromborough landfill site. The 28 hectare park is part of the Wirral Coastal Path and gives access to the River Mersey and views of the Liverpool skyline to visitors for the first time in over 20 years. People visiting the park will be able to enjoy unrivalled views of the stunning waterfront, and beyond, from the top of the 37 metre high mound. The site also boasts beautiful wetlands and a variety of flora, fauna and birds.

The XX Commonwealth Games will open this week in Glasgow, welcoming competitors from around 70 different countries. Opposite the new Athletes Village and situated at a distinctive bend in the River Clyde, a new park, the Cuningar Loop woodland park, will be part of this year’s Games Legacy. The new woodland park is currently in construction, and due to open to the public in 2015.

The Swiss municipality of Riehen, bordering the city of Basel, lies in the gently widening valley of the River Wiese, near to its confluence with the Rhine. For decades, the local population has yearned for a new public swimming pool to replace the obsolescent baths by the riverbank, with various attempts having failed.

Located in the outskirts of Chennai, India, Confluence is a unique project in its scale and aspiration. Conceived as a resort destination it also contains a convention building with a large lawn. The villa zone overlooks a lush central garden with series of pavilions and platforms terminating at the swimming pool in front of the club house building.
