Our thinking about the design was based on the idea of the “urban lounge”. Having looked at a variety of living rooms, we have chosen to simplify the urban lounge to four basic elements.

The installation, entitled ‘The Meeting Room’, was created by Maya Lin, an artist selected for her thoughtfulness in approaching the site, its historic context, the visitor, and the important contributions made to Newport by Doris Duke. The landscaping was designed by Edwina von Gal, a talented landscape architect whom Maya Lin personally selected for this project.
ArchTriumph is announcing the exhibition of the showcase “Peace Pavilion” in the Museum Gardens in Bethnal Green, London. The Pavilion hopes to highlight the importance of Peace and Co-existence and also shade a positive light on the vibrant communities around this creative hub.
The Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2013 is designed by multi award-winning Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto. He is the thirteenth and, at 41, the youngest architect to accept the invitation to design a temporary structure for the Serpentine Gallery. The most ambitious architectural programme of its kind worldwide, the Serpentine’s annual Pavilion commission is one of the most anticipated events on the cultural calendar.
