Demolition of giant storage tanks is the first sign of progress in the largest waterfront development in the history of Auckland.
The tanks have been used since the mid-1970s at the BP Lubricants Auckland production centre at Wynyard Pt, also known as the Tank Farm.

Chula Vista city officials are preparing for a citizens initiative on the June ballot that, if successful, would lock in strict building height limits citywide.
The initiative, sponsored by community activist and real estate investor Earl Jentz, aims to secure a 45-foot height limit for new buildings on Third Avenue between E and G streets, and an 84-foot limit for most other areas east of Interstate 5.
It exempts certain areas near mass transit, and the future site of a planned eastern urban center with an educational campus, high-end retail stores and a technology park.

IT IS the town that promises to help you to stay thin.
The Prince Charles’ Foundation for the Built Environment is planning the new town with more than 300 homes, shops, other businesses and leisure facilities on land near Cumnock in Ayrshire.
But it will be the first in the UK to be specifically designed with the health of its future residents in mind.
The new town, which may be called Knockroon after a nearby farm, will incorporate a range of features to discourage residents from using their cars, and lead them to adopting a healthier lifestyle.
