Marion Blackwell, Fellow of Australian Institute of Landscape Architects received the Member of the Order of Australia for service to conservation and the environment, particularly through the Australian Native Plants Society, and to the profession of landscape architecture. The Order of Australia honour is given to those Australians recognised for their achievements and service of their fellow citizens.

– Murdoch University Campus.
– North West Shelf Gas Project.
– Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Carnarvon.
– Cable Beach Intercontinental Resort.
– Voyager Estate Winery.
– Greening of Jigalong (a remote desert Indigenous centre).
– King’s Park Restaurant.
– Harold Boas Gardens Perth, in 1976; the gardens were placed on the WA State Register of Heritage Places in 2007.
Construction has started on the public realm element of the £450 million overhaul of Salford Greengate.
Landscape architects Grontmij, formerly known as Whitelaw Turkington has been appointed as lead designer, working with building contractor Carillion, to deliver an urban quarter on the 13 hectare brownfield site on behalf of Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company.

The WEST 8 designed Lincoln Park is a new meeting place in town. Centrally located in the Art District at the monumental terminus of lively Lincoln Road, the park has multiple functions. During the day the park is shaded by pergolas and palm trees. In the evening it is a cultural hotspot, one of the special attractions of the park being a video and sound installation – projecting concerts and video art on building’s 700m² wall, which serves as an outdoor screen for the park. The park is an urban garden that expresses the euphoria of Miami, and will be actively programmed for public and cultural events.
